Easter decoration - spring-like & colourful

When spring approaches and the Easter Decorations are taken out, the joy of Easter rises for young and old alike, according to the motto: "Dear Easter Bunny, please hide a lot of eggs in the garden this year! And something sweet too, I will put any treats in my little basket for safekeeping."

Spring is here again! After the cold and grey Winter period, we all yearn for the Sun’s warm rays, the twittering of the birds and the budding flowers - its the perfect time to decorate your home with Spring and Easter Decorations!

Where does the custom of the Easter Bunny and the Egg actually originate from?

As Children, we always looked forward to Easter. We searched for coloured eggs hidden in the garden and everywhere was lovingly decorated with Easter Decorations. Some of us may have even worn a homemade Easter Bonnet. But why does the Easter Bunny hide the eggs? The Easter Bunny itself has only been established as a custom for around 100 years. There are many different reasons for this.

Among other things, the Hare was assigned as a sacred animal to the Goddess of Spring Ostara and the Goddess of Love Aphrodite. It is therefore considered a sign of fertility. Is there perhaps a connection why we are actually looking for eggs for Easter? There is! Because as you can imagine, an egg also stands for fertility and new life. With the different colours, more and more patterns adorned the Easter Eggs over the generations. Nowadays Eggs are used as a popular Easter or Spring Decoration to decorate shrubs and trees, amongst other things.

Did the Easter Bunny pay you a visit?

Even at the crack of dawn, on Easter Sunday every child stands at the window, hoping to catch a quick glimpse of the Easter Bunny. You can never been sure whether he has already been as he is incredibly quick and skillful. For some lucky families, the Easter Bunny will be visiting in person. If you are looking for the right Rabbit Costume for this, you will find it with us. From young to old, there is a suitable costume for everyone.
